In 2011 Huf purchased Beru's tyre pressure-monitoring business and inherited Doduco as part of this acquisition.

Huf offers direct measuring tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). The advantage of Huf TPMS are reliable warning against loss of pressure, maintain long-life of tires, optimization of fuel consumption, reduction of CO2 emission.

The Huf TPMS sensor is fitted directly to the valve and measures the tire pressure and temperature right in every tire. This information is then displayed by a control unit right on the dash. This measuring method is faster and more accurate than indirect methods that use ABS/ESP sensors.

Huf is an OE supplier that provides original replacement sensors in OE quality to the aftermarket for a multitude of vehicles. While developing this product,Huf’s intension was to make it quick and easy for the installers to use. TECHNICAL BULLETIN - HUF TPMS Sensors Need To Be Activated Before Installation:

RDE part numbers do not register with the TPMS tools when they check the sensors out of the box. If the technician checks the part before installation, the TPMS tool will return a message stating No Sensor Detected or Reduce Pressure and Retest.

All Huf OE/Direct Fit TPMS sensors are provided in a sleep mode, which saves battery life when stored on a shelf before installing on the vehicle. This sleep mode can only be turned off, and the sensor activated, by one of two procedures:

1. Install the sensor in the tire and inflate to a minimum of 22 psi for 4 minutes. This would be the normal time from having the tire inflated at the tire machine and putting it on the vehicle.
2. Put the sensor in a pressure chamber and use the same pressure and time as above to wake up the sensor.

When either of these two processes is completed, the sensor will register on the TPMS tool or with the vehicle.

Avoid the use of metal (valve stem) caps; Huf recommends using plastic caps only. A plastic valve stem cap is included inside the box.

Huf Warranty: All products sold are warranted against defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service for the earlier of (1) a period of three years from the date of installation, or (2) a period of five years from the date of sale to the Huf Distributor. Huf will either repair or replace any product which fails during this period. This warranty does not include any labor for the repair or replacement of the product.
