The threads are precision cut for a good seal and will not deform due to exhaust heat. This device can not fix any O2 sensor, it is only an extension.
This extension can sometimes help with with check engine light situations. This extension relocates the O2 sensor out of the main exhaust flow but still allows some exhaust gas to get to the O2 sensor. This is not a cure for Check Engine light situations.The results are varied depending upon the layout of the exhaust system and the tuning of the ECU box.
