Porsche 987 Boxster/Cayman (09-12) Racing Valved Exhaust System, Performance Headers, 200 Cell Sports Cats (with Remote)

The complete CAPRISTO high performance system is intended to be a balanced increase between power, drive ability and sound quality, without forgetting of course a substantial loss of weight. All of this is delivered while maintaining the CAPRISTObest of both worlds philosophy which provides the capability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration and a more subdued sound for city driving. This system was Dyno tested and showed an improvement of 25 HP.

This feature is possible using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and input from the driver. At lower engine speeds and during cruise operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. At wide-open throttle, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

The exhaust valves are backpressure-controlled and via the included Valve ControllerRemote which allows you to control the flaps to open permanently, without the in-series control being able to intervene. When the exhaust valve system is closed again with the use of the remote control unit, then the in-series control unit will again take over the control of the exhaust valves. This allows precise control of the exhaust based on the drivers personal tastes and tolerance.

CAPRISTO Exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured utilizing advanced 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending/milling at our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high-grade T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance properties, low weight, and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).

PERFORMANCEHEADERS: The manifolds employ a bespoke design and modified pipe routing compared with the stock manifolds to maximize exhaust flow.

SPORTS CATS 200 CELL:

The High Performance Sports Catalytic Converters feature 200 cell per square inch substrate fashioned from the highest quality materials currently available designed to improve air flow for your vehicle and increase performance.

The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The lower the count of holes the bigger the hole need to be to fill one square inch, a bigger hole subsequently flows more exhaust gasses.

All of this High flow will not help if the substrate is 'squeezed' into to small a diameter can or pipe. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sports Cats come packaged in 5.2 inch packages to maximize exhaust gas flow and operation of the valved exhaust system.

Replacing Your OEM Catalytic Converter/s may trigger a CEL (Check Engine Light). To disable a recurring CEL you will need to tune the ECU or use 02 Sensor Extensions.
