VEHICLE FITMENT

*This cold air intake kit is for 2.0T FSI timing belt driven engines only, late model 2.0T TSI timing chain driven engines found on late model (2008.5+)VW GTI and Jetta/GLI requires a different intake kit (IE Part Number: IEINCC2). Please verify if your engine is an FSI or TSI tune before ordering.

PERFECT MAF SCALING

Your MK6 Golf R or MK5 FSI ECU uses a MAF (mass air flow) sensor to calculate how much fuel is needed when idling or driving. When the diameter of the inlet pipe or MAF sensor location is altered it will lead to check engine lights (CEL) or a poorly running vehicle. If you have a CEL related to the MAF sensor after installing a new tune or intake, this could potentially be the cause.

IE has completely eliminated this issue by engineering the perfect MAF sensor placement and IE custom tube diameter. Unlike other 3 inch inlet pipe intakes available, the IE custom tube diameter ensures that the MAF sensor functions as the factory intended. This equates to the car running at it’s full potential and making the most power possible.

IE engineers set out to develop a MK6 Golf R Cold Air Intake that looks great and performs even better. The latest in computer design and 3D scanning technology were employed during the development process for a perfect fit and maximum performance.
