We do accept returns. Please email us at info@broxtuning.ca to submit your request. Items sent to us without submitting a request will not be accepted.
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. ALTA Performance Thermal Blankets improve response and power by insulating exhaust components from losing critical heat, increasing exhaust flow, all while significantly lowering under hood temperatures.
Unlike the factory stamped metal shroud, The ALTA turbo thermal blanket fits snugly around the turbine housing and exhaust manifold of your MINI to keep nearly all radiant heat away from your intake and other engine components. The high temperature woven silica lining increases durability, improves thermal resistance and protects other parts from wear and scratching.
For those looking for the ultimate in protection, the ALTA Thermal blanket can be installed over the OEM shield as well. Designed for extreme temperature environments the turbo blanket features 3 layer construction. An outer cover made from Silicone Impregnated Fiberglass (rated to 500F continuous), an inner layer made of Calcium Magnesium Silicate Insulation (rated to 2000F continuous) control heat while Silica insulation (rated to 1800F Continuous) is used to contain the inner layer
Formed stainless steel eyelets allow you to simply attach the Alta thermal blanket to the OEM mounting holes. This makes the installation easy and allows for other aftermarket shields to be used in conjunction.
The factory metal shroud has zero heat protection for your turbochargers oil feed line. Over time this major flaw causes the formation of carbon solids inside the oil line restricting oil flow to your turbo. This unavoidable and common problem is virtually solved by installing an ALTA Turbo Thermal blanket with its physical heat barrier between the turbine and oil line.
The shape of the ALTA Turbo Thermal Blanket is specifically designed to fit over most aftermarket turbo and downpipes, as well as the stock parts.
