H&R was created by Mr. Werner Heine and Mr. Heinz Remmen in the late 1970s after they discovered there was a need to improve the suspension on street cars. Both had extensive personal and professional automotive industry experience, and they were committed to creating a system that would allow the driver to have better control and handling in performance situations. H&R now manufactures in North America in 3 different state-of-the-art plants located in PA, TX and NV. They joined forces to design, manufacture and produce the types of springs that would give the vehicle what they deemed the correct stance. They were instrumental in starting the European spring market, and they continue the same type of commitment to design and performance today of their H&R springs performance parts. H&R diversified their lines to include four spring product lines, two Cup Kit lines, six coilover lines, a sway bar program and the Quick-Safe Wheel Bolt Stud conversions. They also have the largest wheel spacer and adapter program. All of their products are made in Germany.
