- The high pressure fuel pump is a common failure item in the N54 and can put your car in to limp mode, or leave you stranded on the side of the road. This is the most up to date fuel pump available for the N54 from BMW. Signs of of a failed or failing fuel pump can be rough engine idle, miss fires, sudden losses of power, or the car not starting. This is a good upgrade if your car still has a older version of the high pressure pump, especially if your car is modified or you plan to in the future.

After replacing my HPFP 2 years ago with a cheap Chinese eBay version, that pump failed and left me stranded on the road. After many days searching for a replacement and not having much luck outside of spending 2500.00+ for an original, I came across Brox Tuning who had a rebuilt one for less that half the cost. It is a BMW pump with BMW parts and built in a BMW factory. I had never dealt with Brox before so was a little hesitant about spending that kind of money with them. I called Brox and explained to them my car is dead and I am planning to travel to the US within a couple of weeks so needed this fast. I placed the order, received a confirmation that the pump would be shipped the following day. It was, and I received it 2 days later. I installed the pump the same day and it is working great! When I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was hand written note from the Brox Team wishing me well with my trip to the US. Very nice touch that they remembered our phone call. Hats off to Brox, very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Recommend 100%.
